Tivat Airport transfer · TIV
A private driver waiting at arrivals, a price agreed before you fly, and a straight run to your hotel in Kotor, Budva, Herceg Novi or anywhere on the bay — at any hour.
Tivat is the closest airport for almost everywhere on the Bay of Kotor and the Budva riviera. Typical door-to-door drive times:
| Destination | Typical drive | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Tivat centre & Porto Montenegro | 5–10 min | The marina is just down the road |
| Kotor old town & Dobrota | 15–20 min | The closest old town to the airport |
| Luštica Bay | 20–30 min | Across the peninsula |
| Budva | 30–40 min | The start of the Budva riviera |
| Perast & Risan | 30–40 min | Around the inner bay via Kotor |
| Sveti Stefan & Bečići | 40–50 min | Past Budva |
| Herceg Novi & Portonovi | 45–60 min | Via the Lepetane–Kamenari ferry |
Times are typical outside rush hour. In July and August allow extra time on the coast road and at the ferry.
Prefer to arrive by sea? From Tivat Airport you can also take a boat taxi across the bay straight to your hotel’s jetty.
How it works
Flight number, arrival time, group size, bags and your address.
You get the car, the plan and the price in writing — no meter.
Your driver waits with a name board and helps with the bags.
Straight to your hotel or apartment — or a scenic detour if you ask.
The cars
Clean, air-conditioned and driven by someone who knows the bay — from a solo arrival to a family with a pile of luggage.

About 8 km. The drive usually takes 15–20 minutes, a little longer in summer traffic.
No — there’s no Uber in Montenegro. There are taxis outside the terminal, but a pre-booked transfer means a fixed price agreed in advance and a driver already waiting for you.
Send your flight number when you book, so the pickup follows your actual landing time rather than the timetable.
By car it’s 45–60 minutes using the Lepetane–Kamenari ferry across the narrowest point of the bay. A boat taxi across the water is the scenic alternative.
Yes. Budva is 30–40 minutes from Tivat Airport. Dubrovnik is a longer cross-border run — see the Dubrovnik–Kotor transfer page.
