What’s the difference between a group and a private tour?
A group tour is a shared departure on a fixed route — the best value for couples and solo travellers. A private charter is just your party, with your own pace, start time and swim or lunch stops.
When do boats run?
Tours generally run from May to October. Private trips outside the season are possible on request, weather permitting. In July and August book a day or two ahead — morning departures are the calmest.
What should I bring?
Swimwear under your clothes, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and a light layer for the ride back. A little cash is handy for the island museum and drinks.
What happens if the weather turns?
The skipper always has the final word on safety. If a trip can’t go ahead, it’s moved to another day or cancelled under the operator’s policy, which you’ll know before you book.
Are boat tours suitable for children?
Yes. Calmer morning departures suit little ones best — tell me the ages when you enquire and I’ll match the right boat and route, and make sure child-size life jackets are on board.
